(August 13th, 2024) – The Little Rock Regional Chamber is proud to announce the launch of the inaugural Multicultural Business Development Month (MBDM), a dynamic and inclusive initiative dedicated to celebrating diversity, fostering economic growth, and supporting minority-owned businesses in our community. The month will feature a variety of unique events, educational programs, and networking opportunities designed to empower diverse entrepreneurs and promote an inclusive business environment. Through this initiative, the Chamber aims to highlight the significant contributions of multicultural businesses and provide resources to support local businesses. This exciting month-long celebration will culminate in the 42nd annual Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Awards Luncheon, presented by Bank of America. This prestigious event will honor exceptional minority-owned businesses and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, innovation, and commitment to the community.

o September 10th - Mental Health Webinar hosted by President and CEO of Positive Recovery Dr. Nihit Khumar from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
o September 17th - Business License, Taxes, and Permits Workshop at the Little Rock Regional Chamber from 4 to 5 pm with the Secretary of State’s Business and Commercial Services office and the City of Little Rock
o September 19th - Hispanic Business Masterclass in Spanish only at Plaza Frida from 5:30 to 7 pm
• Networking Events:
o September 24th - Next Level Pitch Competition hosted by Apptegy from 5:30 to 7 pm, Applications are open now and will close September 6th. Applications can be submitted online by visiting www.littlerockchamber.com/mbdm.
o September 25th - Asian American and Pacific Islander "Journey through Business" Panel at the Venture Center from 9 to 10 am.
