LumoXchange Launches Currency Exchange Marketplace for Cross-Border, Peer-to-Peer Payments
LumoXchange, a financial technology (FinTech) payments company, announces the launch of the world’s first currency exchange marketplace that lets users pick their exchange rates and send money.
Based in Little Rock, Arkansas, and a graduate of the VC FinTech Accelerator by FIS, LumoXchange provides exchange rates from its international partner financial institutions in each country and lets users compare rates, review customer ratings and select how their beneficiary will be paid.

Stone Ward, a full-service advertising agency with offices in Little Rock and Chicago, was recently named a 2018 Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation winner for its “Love, Little Rock” campaign. Executed on behalf of the Little Rock Regional Chamber and the city of Little Rock, “Love, Little Rock” was recognized in the “Word-of-Mouth (Viral, Buzz, Talk Triggers)” category, honoring tactics that “get key audiences talking or provide an avenue for conversation using different techniques.” The Bronze Anvil awards are presented by the Public Relations Society of America.

Chamber Announces Ben France as New Vice President of Economic Development
The Little Rock Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that Ben France has been named Vice President of Economic Development. In this capacity Ben will lead all economic development work for the chamber including new business recruitment as well as existing business expansion and retention. For the past year Ben has served as Director, Business Attraction and Expansion for the chamber. Prior to that, Ben spent five years as a Senior Project Manager in Business Development for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC). His duties included managing corporate client new location and expansion site needs in Arkansas while also providing site selection and incentive negotiations with site location consultants across the world.

Foreign-Born Residents Contributed $2 Billion to Little Rock GDP in 2016
Immigrants in the Little Rock metro area contributed $2 billion to the region’s GDP, and paid $157.8 million in federal taxes and $83.8 million in state and local taxes, according to a new research brief released by New American Economy (NAE) in partnership with the Little Rock Regional Chamber and the City of Little Rock. The report was released at a press conference held at the Southwest Little Rock Community Center featuring Mayor Mark Stodola and Little Rock Regional Chamber President Jay Chesshir, among others.
