Chamber to Debut Bowling for Business July 29th
Everybody can’t golf – but anybody can bowl! New for 2008, the set-em-up-and-knock-em-down networking tournament will be held Tuesday, July 29th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Millennium Bowl, 7200 Counts Massie Road in Maumelle.
Presented by Arkansas Federal Credit Union, the event will feature as many as 32 five-person teams (160 bowlers), supported by a host of volunteers from the Chamber’s Leads Groups. Snacks will be sponsored by Hilton Little Rock, with Lanes sponsored by Blue Coast Burrito, ITT Technical Institute, Optus, Inc., Simmons First National Bank and Watson’s.

Prizes will go to top teams, with awards presented for highest and lowest individual scores, among others. The first round will be a team competition among the Chamber’s members and groups. The second round will be all networking, as bowlers will be mixed and matched to forge new business relationships while knocking down pins and knocking back – well, you get the idea. Oh, and don’t forget the competition for best team shirts.
Five-person teams are only $125, which includes balls, shoes, all-you-can-eat-and-drink snacks and beverages, lane fees for two games, member-to-member goody bags, eligibility to win all prizes and billing in pre- and post-event publicity.
