Little Rock Region’s Attractions, Facilities Draw National, International Conventions

With international destinations like the Clinton Presidential Center, Central High School National Historic Site, Heifer International and the longest originally constructed pedestrian/bicycle bridge in the world (Big Dam Bridge), Little Rock offers full-service convention facilities, over 6,000 hotel rooms, over 550 restaurants, and communities rich and diverse in culture, attractions, recreation, shopping and entertainment.

Statehouse Plaza

Statehouse Plaza, an eight-square block area on the Arkansas River from Scott Street to Broadway in downtown Little Rock, includes Statehouse Convention Center, Robinson Center, Peabody Little Rock Hotel and DoubleTree Hotel. In the center of Statehouse Plaza is the Old State House Museum. Arkansas’s first capitol is a beautiful, recently renovated, state operated museum featuring local, regional and national exhibits, including a collection of Arkansas’s first ladies gowns. 

Statehouse Convention Center

The Statehouse Convention Center is located in the heart of downtown Little Rock, one of the most affordable cities in America. The Statehouse Convention Center is conveniently located between the Clinton Presidential Center and historic Robinson Center Music Hall, at the gateway of the River Market entertainment district. It is immediately adjacent to the Peabody Little Rock Hotel, the Center’s catering and concession partner. The Statehouse Convention Center offers over 250,000 gross square feet. The four Governor’s Exhibition Halls have more than 82,000 square feet and are divisible by movable air walls. The Center also offers eleven versatile meeting rooms and an 18,000 square foot ballroom that can be subdivided into three separate rooms. Most pre-function space for the ballroom has attractive views of the Arkansas River through the liberal use of a glass atrium. The Center will accommodate a variety of events including, but not limited to, major conventions, exhibits, tradeshows, consumer shows, banquets, receptions and corporate meetings.  

Robinson Center

Historic Robinson Center, constructed in 1939, houses the Senator Joseph T. Robinson auditorium which is commonly known as the Robinson Center Music Hall. Being home to the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, numerous Broadway road shows, as well as concerts, dance competitions, ballets, plays and dance recitals underlines the flexibility of this facility. Large meetings can make exceptional use of its 2,609 seat capacity creating an intimate atmosphere. The Robinson Center has 14,867 square feet of exhibition space on two levels. It has seven versatile meeting rooms that are ideal for various convention activities, from workshops and meals to tradeshows and dances. The DoubleTree Hotel, which is attached to the Center, is its catering and concession partner.  

Parking

A 550-space public parking deck at Second and Main Streets is one block from the Statehouse Convention Center. Robinson Center includes a 560-space underground municipal parking garage located at Markham and Spring Streets, which provides guests with well-lighted, weather-protected parking connected to the Center. In addition, there are several hundred more parking spaces available within a few blocks, including a 667-space deck in the River Market district.
